Britain is arguing with the Allies over sending warships to the Black Sea to protect cargo ships carrying Ukrainian grain. A “volunteer coalition” would aim to break the blockade of Russia in weeks by providing a “protective corridor” from Odessa through the Bosphorus.
There are fears that time will run out to avoid a global food crisis and the US also said it was sending long-range missiles to eliminate Russian ships.
