There is still time before Samsung introduces its next series of smart watches: the Galaxy Watch 5. The Galaxy Watch 5 series is expected to be introduced in the third quarter of 2022 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Rumors suggest that two Galaxy Watch 5 models Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will be released this year. Now, three Samsung watches in the FCC documents with model numbers SM-R900, SM-R910 and SM-R920 reveal that the next smart watches would come with a 10 W charger. The R900 and SM-910 are the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 models, while the SM-R920 is the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. FCC documents reveal that the wireless charger used to charge the Galaxy Watch 5 series had a capacity of 10W (5V, 2A). Does this mean that the Galaxy Watch 5 series would charge faster than the Galaxy Watch 4? Yes, it should charge faster compared to previous models, but 10 W is the input rating and the charger could still be limited to a 5 W output. So if you get a wireless charger from 10 W, you may be able to charge it quickly. The FCC document further suggests that the Galaxy Watch 5 series would support Bluetooth, 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi. The Galaxy Watch 5 series is expected to have NFC support, but may not be available on all models. Earlier rumors suggested that the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 would have a battery capacity of 276mAh and 397mAh, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is said to have an even larger battery than the 44mm version with a capacity of 572 mAh.
