The Science Show Boab used to reflect on archeology

The ARC Center of Excellence known as CABAH – The Australian Center for Biodiversity and Heritage at Wollongong University is a research center covering archeology, the environment, climate, biology and culture and spanning 130,000 years. Artists have also been involved in traveling with scientists to remote parts of Australia. In the Towards Deep Time exhibition, Unseeded is a collection of 35 hand-blown glass nut shapes developed in collaboration with Professor Sue O’Connor of the National University of Australia. The artwork reflects on the process of archaeological prospecting, which British artist Frederick observed during a field trip to the Ningbing Mountains in the Kimberley region of Western Australia with the traditional owners and rangers of Miriuwung Gajerrong. The works will be on display at the Wollongong University Gallery until July 13, 2022.
