A Tasmanian devil has clashed with wildlife caregivers after the marsupial mistaken a visitor’s phone for a chew toy.
Jacqui Frazer was at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary on Thursday afternoon when she visited the Devil’s Enclosure to take a photo.
Frazer had leaned over the barrier, when the devil rose above it, causing him to drop his iPhone.

It took the guardians of the wildlife about five minutes to retrieve it, as the animal came in and out of its den.
The goalkeepers eventually ended up replacing a stick in the devil’s mouth with the phone.

The phone has been returned to its rightful owner, but the device has several bite marks to remember the eventful Frazer day.
