The United States must look to Australia and take up arms

It’s on the same scale as Sandy Hook almost a decade ago when 20 young lives were taken, and this time it’s in Texas.

Nineteen primary school children have died. Innocent young people, aged between six and twelve, from 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade, as well as a teacher.

All shot by an 18-year-old man who opened fire with a pistol and an alleged military rifle.

The gunman himself was shot by police, and is another tragic loss of life that happens with a sleepy regularity in the United States.

This year alone they have had 200 mass shootings, almost one a day, and the sad truth is that they will continue to happen unless American politicians finally have the courage to take up arms.

He tweeted in 2015, after the embarrassing Sandy Hook massacre.

Texas was the number two in the nation behind California for new arms purchases and urged Texans to pick up the pace – tweeting the message with a link to the self-proclaimed NRA – the National Rifle Association. the oldest civil rights organization in America.

The right to bear arms is considered a civil right because it is rooted in the constitution.

But there are no civilian-owned military-grade weapons or machine guns when this became a right, and there are simply no balances and balances to keep the arsenals that should be limited to armies out of the hands of individuals who can trigger the kind of damage that we do. now i see it in texas.

Unless the United States takes drastic measures against weapons and lays the groundwork, such as tightening background checks, school shootings like this will unfortunately continue to happen in the U.S.

Thank God John Howard took his position here.
