Like other ‘Overwatch 2’ heroes, Shadow has a new look to the sequel.

The second beta of Overwatch 2 PVP is just days away and Blizzard has revealed more details on what to expect. This time, with Xbox and PlayStation gamers invited to participate, Team 4 is looking to try the crossover game. But there are also some notable changes to the game in the store.

Each hero has a new passive ability in Overwatch 2 depending on their role. For supports, self-healing has improved over time. Tanks have reduced recoil and give less final payload to players who attack or heal them. In the first beta, all damage heroes received a speed upgrade, but this will not be the case in the second beta.
In contrast, DPS players will retain up to 30% of their Ultimate charge when they switch to a different hero. It is an interesting change for several reasons. First, getting rid of the speed buff can be a good idea. First beta games often felt chaotic. It will also be a little harder for DPS players to go through enemy defenses and remove supports.
The 30% Ult load change could open up some interesting strategies. Get out of the generation as a Tracer, quickly accumulate 30% Ult charge, and switch to the hero you really want to use to get your Ult faster? I’ll be interested to see what tricks high-skilled players do with this change.
In the meantime, you’ll have a little more time to escort the TS-1 to the end of the Push maps. Now each round of Empenta will last 10 minutes instead of eight, not counting the only game I had with a three minute overtime.

Team 4 is also testing new skills for existing support heroes. Expect a balance patch during the beta that will introduce some important changes for Moira.
While there will be no full competitive mode in the next beta, Team 4 “decided to enable a set of partial competition rules that will allow teams to play full maps without stopping if a player disconnects.” .
Otherwise, the second beta of PVP will have almost everything, from the first, along with a new map set in Rio and a whole new hero, Junker Queen, to check out.
The beta version starts on June 28th. There’s still time to opt in, though you can start playing as soon as the beta opens if you pick up the $ 40 Watchpoint package.
