Street fight captured on camera

An early morning fight in downtown Vancouver sent a man to the hospital while police continue to investigate.
Vancouver Police spokesman Const. Tania Visintin says police responded to a call around 3:30 a.m. Monday due to a fight on Granville and Davie streets.
“Two men were involved in a physical altercation,” Visintin said. “A man was taken to hospital with minor injuries. VPD officers rushed to the scene, but at the time of the incident, the two people involved did not want police involvement.”
He adds that the police are following the incident.
A video of the scene shared on Twitter shows a much more dramatic situation. In the footage, which seems to capture only the end of the fight, it appears that several people are involved.
A man, who appears to be wearing a light-colored shirt and blue jeans, is thrown to the ground by another man and falls down. While on the ground, three men kick him, including the man who first hit him.
As the man remains on the ground, most of those who appear to have been involved in the incident go in different directions, while a man who may have been involved controls the person on the ground. A crowd begins to gather when the video ends.
