This morning’s hosts, Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, have hidden a complicated relationship from their millions of viewers, according to the Daily Mail.
The duo, who controversially replaced Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford last year on Friday’s ITV show, struggled to “get it right” and program sources say they have “fought.”
A source said: “They came from very different backgrounds. Dermot has been a big star for many years and has put on great shows, while Alison has always wanted a less prominent career and has much less experience.
“They are impatient with each other, mainly because they do things very differently. It has caused fights on the set and uncomfortable tensions outside the air. there was a jolt and they had paired up with other presenters.
Earlier this year, Miss Hammond admitted that she struggled to get in shape with her co-host Dermot O’Leary.
While tensions remained a secret for the show’s 1.2 million viewers, earlier this year, Miss Hammond, who rose to fame on the Big Brother reality show in 2002, admitted that had struggled to catch up with former X Factor O’Leary presenter. In an interview with ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly, she was suggested that you can’t bring people together on a show and wait for it to work. She replied: ‘Absolutely. That was literally it. That’s what happened to us. “

This morning has been full of jokes from presenters in recent years. In 2020, it was revealed that Phillip Schofield and Miss Langsford had fallen after cutting her for a segment while explaining what was in Loose Women.
A spokesman for this morning said: “Alison and Dermot have developed a strong friendship and their chemistry has proved to be a qualifying success.
