THREE people have been taken to hospital following reports of a collision with a collision in St Helens on Friday night.
Police say they called them at 9:30 p.m. to report that a woman had been found lying on North Road.
Officers spoke to witnesses at the scene and it is believed that before the incident a fight had broken out between a group of people.
Sudden collision and escape
During the riots, a Ford Fiesta was reported to have collided with several people.
It is then believed that the car left the site and was found abandoned a short distance away.
Three in the hospital
A 30-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were taken to hospital with head injuries and a 40-year-old woman with back and face injuries.
None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
Three arrests
A 20-year-old woman, a 38-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man have been arrested as fight suspects.
The incident is being investigated and investigations are ongoing.
Cords were at police on North Road last night, where residents described their commotion over the incident.
There was another cordon near Crab Street.
Police say their investigation continues at an early stage.

Detective Inspector Graeme Osborne said: “Our investigations are in the early stages as we seek to establish what happened last night.
“We are conducting door-to-door consultations, CCTV and testimonials and we will urge anyone who can help with our investigation to contact us.”
