TikTok star dies in skydiving

Tanya Pardazi has died in a skydiving accident at the age of 21.
The TikTok star, who was also a Miss Canada finalist, had gained millions of views on the social media app under the name @philosatea. He took part in a skydive in late August in Toronto, after taking lessons, and succumbed to injuries sustained after his first solo jump.
In a statement posted Friday on Facebook, skydiving company SkyDive Toronto said: “On Saturday, August 27, at approximately 6:00 pm EDT, a 21-year-old skydiving student succumbed to fatal injuries sustained in a emergency situation
The parachutist released a rapidly rotating primary parachute at low altitude without the necessary time/altitude for the reserve parachute to inflate.”
The company explained that they are now working with the police on the situation and that they have been “deeply affected” by the incident because they have spent half a century “perfecting” their training program.
The statement continued: “The Skydive Toronto team is currently working with the South Simcoe Police in their investigation.
“The jumper was a welcome recent addition to the skydiving community and will be missed by the student’s new friends and fellow jumpers at Skydive Toronto Inc. The Skydive Toronto Inc team has been deeply affected by this accident as they have perfected their student training program for over 50 years.”
After her death, her close friend Melody Ozgoli said the tragedy has been the “biggest shock” to those who knew her and described the late influencer as “adventurous”.
“Tanya had an interest in anything new and adventurous. She really lived every second to the fullest. This is the biggest shock to us. It’s so hard to process. It’s been a couple of days, but we still don’t even alone. believe it.”
