Triple J has mercilessly poked fun at an unfortunate Instagram caption for a collection of Splendor in the Grass photos.
The youth broadcaster took to social media to share a series of photos from the festival over the weekend.
“Not a phone in sight, just people living in the moment,” the post captioned.
The problem?
There were a lot of phones in sight – viewers counted up to eight mobiles in a single image.
The radio station was quickly ridiculed by thousands of followers for the odd choice of subtitles.

“No phones in sight. Except phones clearly in sight,” read one comment that was liked more than 600 times.
“There is literally a phone in the first picture,” added another.
“This is a game of Where’s Wally but with phones, and I’m here to do it,” joked a third.
Other Triple J listeners reminisced about the good old days, with one writing: “Big Day Outs of the 1990s really lived in the phone-free moment.”
The Instagram failure followed a tough weekend of negative press for the Byron music festival.
Splendor in the Grass co-founder Jess Ducrou told Triple J’s Hack on Monday that organizers “did the best we could” as flooding turned the venue into a quagmire.
The festival was forced to cancel all headline acts on Friday after relentless rain turned the venue into a flooded quagmire.
Rideshare prices soared as the festival closed its campgrounds and moved some revelers to nearby campsites.
“We were in a very difficult position,” Ms. Ducrou said.
“We have insurance, we could have canceled the whole event. So it wasn’t an economic decision for us to go ahead.
“It was more about considering how long it had been since the splendor had passed. The fact that so many people had come to the area for it.
“And the fact that so many people trusted it and worked for it.
“And it was a mixed bag, for sure. It certainly wasn’t what we expected.
“There were some great moments.”
