Two arrested for hitting a police car in western Victoria

Two brothers and a housemate were sleeping at their home in Victoria’s west when they allege a group of people started damaging their car in the driveway.

The group left the scene briefly, before returning to the property on Purnell Road in Corio, Geelong about 2.15am today.

It is understood the group allegedly smashed the front window of the house before shots were fired.

Fortunately, no officers were injured in the accident.

Police said the driver of the Ford abandoned the car on Alkira Avenue, where the driver and passenger fled.

Shortly afterwards, police arrested a 23-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman.
