Two people die after a fatal collision between four vehicles in Chatham.

Police responded to the crash on Queen’s Line on Dillion Road around 7 p.m. Friday.

Early stages of the investigation revealed that a 27-year-old Windsor man was traveling east on Queen’s Line when he collided with a van traveling west.

Police said the man’s vehicle collided with a buick of an older model, which contained five people, which was directly behind the van.

A fourth vehicle was indirectly involved when it left the road to avoid the collision.

Police said two Buick occupants died at the scene.

All others involved were transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where they were treated for life-threatening injuries.

Police said the names of the two dead will not be released at this time out of respect for the families.

The collision is still being investigated by the Traffic Management Unit.
