Two people have been arrested in a deadly street shooting in north Melbourne on Tuesday.

A 55-year-old man was found lying on Napier Street in Fitzroy with a gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon.
He died at the scene.
Police believe the man had been involved in an altercation with “a few people” parked on Napier Street in an Audi car.
Investigators continue to say it appears to be a targeted attack by people known to man.
A 43-year-old man from Doveton, on the south-east side of Melbourne, and a 21-year-old woman from Yarraville, in the west interior, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
The Special Operations Group assisted in the arrest of the couple on a suburban street in the outer-southeast suburb of Noble Park around 5:30 p.m.
They were assisting the police with their investigations during the night.
Detectives from the homicide team found the Audi in South Yarra, about 6 miles south of Fitzroy, on Wednesday afternoon.
“At the moment there are no known links to any other recent gun incidents involving organized crime groups,” a Victoria police spokesman said in an overnight update.
“Police want to speak to anyone who has witnessed the incident in Fitzroy, including pre- and post-shooting events, or who has CCTV vision or a script camera.”
