“Two voices are louder than one.” Twitter will soon allow two users to co-author the same tweet. How it works

Seeing the trend of content creators coming together to work on the same product or brand, many social networking platforms are slowly creating features to provide people with the space and tools for their teamwork. After TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, the microblogging platform Twitter has also got on the bandwagon.

The social media platform has confirmed that it is currently testing a new feature called ‘CoTweets’ that will allow two different Twitter accounts to be co-authors of a single tweet. Both accounts will be tagged in the same tweet as part of the collaboration.

“We’re now testing CoTweets, a new way to tweet together,” he posted on Twitter sharing the feature’s news along with an explanatory video.

“Two voices are louder than one,” the microblogging platform said.

The next feature will allow users to invite another Twitter user to contribute content in a single tweet. The “CoTweets” feature will allow users to share credit for the content they create together.

This new feature, which is currently being tested and available to a select group of users, will help brands expand its reach even further, as more than one influencer will join the content and share it with its audience. In the meantime, this will also maintain the authenticity of the original content and help other users share the work done by someone else by tagging the respective person and giving credit to Twitter.

How “CoTweets” works: It’s a simple process with basic steps. The “CoTweets” feature works just like tweeting a normal post. Only here, users have to click on the CoTweet icon to send an invitation to another Twitter account to co-author the same post.

However, for the collaboration to work, the two accounts must have a public account and follow each other. For now, an account can do ‘CoTweet’ or, in simple terms, collaborate, with only one Twitter account at a time.
