Updated June 29 at 8:50 p.m .: The Nipissing West OPP has reported on Twitter that it has reopened Highway 17 near Sturgeon Falls.
Officers have been sent to a collision east of Landfill Site Road in the early hours of this afternoon. The road was cut for about seven hours, from approximately 13.30 to 20.45, with no detours available.
No further details have been given this afternoon with any additional information on the incident.

Highway 17 east of Landfill Site Road in Sturgeon Falls is closed in both directions after a collision this afternoon.
Nipissing West OPP sent officers after receiving a service call around 1:31 p.m., June 29.
The OPP, the West Nipissing Fire Department and the West Nipissing District Paramedic Services responded to the crash.
No details have been given on the nature of the incident or injuries.
“The highway will be closed in both directions during the investigation and there is no diversion established at this time.”
