Saskatoon police are continuing their efforts to locate a missing mother and son.
Dawn Walker, 48, and her 7-year-old son (age corrected), Vincent Jansen, were reported missing yesterday evening when friends were unable to contact them.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on July 25, 2022, RCMP located Dawn Walker’s red Ford F150 in Chief Whitecap Park, south of Saskatoon. Some personal items were also found at the scene. Additionally, SPS learned that a person in the area had discovered her bag on Saturday, July 23 and turned it over to the RCMP.
Based on this new information, SPS is coordinating efforts to conduct a search of the South Saskatchewan River. The search will include the Public Safety Unit and the Air Support Unit along with collaborating agencies.
Members of the public are asked to refrain from visiting Chief Whitecap Park, so that SPS can carry out their investigation.
SPS is again asking anyone with information about Dawn or Vincent to contact police at 306-975-8300.

Saskatoon police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 48-year-old woman and her 6-year-old son.
Dawn Walker was last seen on July 22, 2022 at 6:00 pm at a business in the 300 block of Owen Manor in Saskatoon. He may be accompanied by his son Vincent Jansen. He is believed to be operating a red 2021 Ford F150 with Saskatchewan license plate 451MRP.
Dawn Walker is described as 5’5″ tall, medium build, blonde hair and brown eyes. Vincent Jansen is described as 4’2″ tall, slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.
There are concerns about Dawn Walker’s welfare as she has not been in contact with friends or family, which is out of character.
