Police have cordoned off a cafe on a busy street.
Officers are currently on Picton Road in Wavertree, outside The Whistle Stop Cafe, where there is a cordon. Eyewitnesses described the scene as a “pandemonium” shortly after 2 p.m.
An image shared on social media showed five police vehicles, including two vans, at the scene. Scientific support also attends.
