Notice that Minjee Lee has a bit of an advantage over Mina Harigae in length off the tee, and the long 10th par-five of 469 yards should play into his hands.
She mates to a sweet drive in the middle of the street, leaving 209 yards on the green for her second, but swings a little to the left and into a nasty bit of rough greenside. It’s not a nice chip to have, and Lee can only scratch it beyond the hole and almost across the green.
His birdie putt is an exceptional delay of about 50 feet, which leaves a touch for parity. Pars will win it from here you should think.
It hasn’t been nice, but so far it’s been very effective with Harigae, nailing a tricky little pair putt, without regaining any ground.
Lee still leads by four with eight holes to play.
