WA’s RAC Rescue Helicopter was called to a serious crash in the state’s south-west just after 11am on Saturday.
A Mercedes sedan and a Toyota Hilux collided on the Vasse Highway near the Brockman Highway intersection in Nannup, 280 kilometers south of Perth.
A driver in his 50s suffered minor injuries, while a man in his 30s suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The younger man was trapped in the wreckage and required the help of four units from the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service to be freed at around 12.30pm.
The man was taken to Bunbury for treatment, while the woman was taken to Nannup Hospital for a check-up.
WA Police were at the scene to help direct traffic while emergency services worked to free the man and will continue to investigate the circumstances.
