Victims of a violent home invasion have spoken of the time when three strangers robbed them and assaulted them at their home in Doncaster.
Asif Jamal, Rahim Khan and another housemate were asleep at their home on June 21, when the criminals approached the front door and started knocking aggressively.
After opening the door, police said the criminals, armed with knives, a taser, punches and a hammer, assaulted the men.

All the victims received serious injuries.
“At one point they squeezed my neck so badly that I felt like I was a few seconds away from dying,” Jamal said.
Senior detective Trevor Reitman said the criminals stole cash and cell phones before fleeing in a stolen Lexus.
He said the Lexus was stolen from the Ringwood area a couple of months ago.

Reitman said the incident was “extremely worrying.”
“We’re not sure why the criminals went in that direction,” he said.
“The way they deal with the victims is disgusting behavior. We believe we will find them and take them to court.”
For the victims, it has been a “traumatic” experience.

“A guy gave me a hammer and I can say it was the most tragic day of my whole life,” Jamal said.
“This is a safe country and this is the first time I feel insecure.”
Police released CCTVs of the criminals arriving in the stolen car, hoping someone would recognize them and the vehicle.
