Many families have just two days to find a new school for their children, with a Victorian private school set to close suddenly.
Parents told a meeting last night that Colmont School in Kilmore, in Melbourne’s north, will no longer operate for its Year 3 to 10 students from Friday.
Families were told the school had gone into administration and administrators would try to keep it open for year 11 and 12 students for as long as possible.

An email was sent to parents informing them that the school had been administered by the school board hours earlier.
“We understand this will be unexpected and distressing news for your family,” the email read.
Parents have taken to social media to voice their concerns.
“Devastated tonight to hear my children’s school has gone into administration and will be closing in two days,” posted one.
“WTF are we supposed to do now? School was going great for both of us. It’s going to be a rough few days.”
The private school is an International Baccalaureate world school and has boarding students as well as day students.
It was formerly known as Kilmore International School.

Prime Minister Daniel Andrews has said his government will do everything it can to support the school, but explained that the government’s ability to help will likely be limited because the school is private.
“But if there is anything we can do to support these parents,” he said.
“We are ready and willing.”
