Bo Nickal may already have had some of the best fights in all of the mixed martial arts, but he didn’t need a single disassembly to get his first professional victory Friday night.
The three-time NCAA Penn State champion scored a knockout on John Noland less than a minute after the opening round in his fight at IKON FC 3.
Nickal showed heavy hands from the start of the fight, throwing a header at Noland before throwing a powerful combination of punches. Once left was the shot that surprised Noland initially before Nickal unleashed a hellish right hand behind him.
As soon as he landed on the penalty spot, Noland was knocked unconscious.
Nickal was already considered one of the best prospects in the sport before entering the cage, but now he has started his career in an impressive way with a knockout in the first round to officially move to 1-0 as professional.
