Guerrero scored a single in the tenth inning to lift the Blue Jays to a 7-6 victory over the Orioles on Wednesday at the Rogers Center. It was Guerrero’s first run of the race and his fourth hit of the night, which also included a solo home run in the fifth.
Guerrero’s 16th home run of the year was one of three in Toronto, with 13 hits. Teoscar Hernandez and Matt Chapman also delved deeper.
The starting victory saved another stellar start from Blue Jays starter José Berrios, who made his third consecutive quality outing with seven three-run, eight strikeouts.
