Finally, Waze has introduced Apple Music support for iPhones, which allows you to control your music using the built-in audio player in the navigation app. This should make it easier for you to pause, play, and switch between songs as you follow directions to your destination. You’ll also have access to Apple Music’s wide selection of playlists directly through Waze, which means you shouldn’t open the Apple Music app at all.
Apple Music joins a number of other audio streaming services that are already connected to Waze. The app first launched support for Spotify in 2017 and later added Pandora, TuneIn and Deezer. In addition to other popular music services such as Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and iHeartRadio, Waze also supports a number of podcast, news, and audiobook applications such as Audible, NPR One, and Stitcher.
Apple Music was possibly the last major audio playback service that Waze didn’t support, and its integration should fill a gap for people who use Apple for music playback but prefer Google-owned navigation service.
