George Michael’s ex-partner Kenny Goss has spoken out about the late singer, revealing that everyone “expected him to die.”
George Michael’s ex-partner Kenny Goss has spoken of the singer’s death in his first television interview in five years.
The Wham! The leader was found dead at the age of 53 on Christmas Day 2016 at his home in north-west London. The cause was heart disease – dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis – and fatty liver.
During Thursday’s episode Piers Morgan uncensoredavailable to stream to Flash, Goss, 63, said it was no surprise.
“We all expected him to die. It had been a long time since we lived together, worried about him,” the art dealer told Sky News.
“I honestly hated the fact that I cared so much about him.
“What is the phrase he says in one of his songs? He says, ‘I see it in your eyes when you look at me this way, it breaks me in two.’ And he really did. I just didn’t know what to do.
“I was worried about him all the time. Please don’t say it the wrong way, if you love someone you’re worried about her,” she added.

Goss said he “really tried” to save the pop star’s life.
“What I always notice is that there was a lot more time that I was incredibly happy with him than I was worried about him,” he said.
“He always said I saved his life. I think it’s a little too much, but I really tried.”
Reflecting on his 15-year relationship and Michael’s struggles with drugs, the employer said he doesn’t like to be labeled as “long suffering”.
“I really tried to always be there for him and he knew it,” he added.
Last year, the Texan reached a financial deal with Michael’s trustees after demanding £ 15,000 a month ($ 27,000) from the star’s £ 97m ($ 175m) ownership.
Goss claimed the singer paid her a monthly allowance before her separation in 2011, but left her nothing after her death.
He insisted that Michael “was not in his right mind” when he made his will.
According to the Daily mailthe deal he agreed with the trustees, Christopher Organ and Michael’s sister, Panayiota “Yioda” Panayiotou, is confidential.
