This week was Apple’s WWDC Developer Conference and we had a packed event. Traditionally, Apple showed new versions of its smartphone, tablet, computer and smartwatch platforms.
It all started with iOS. We didn’t receive a permanent display ad, meaning Apple keeps it as the exclusive iPhone 14 Pro for this fall. We received a great review of the lock screen with the option to change the date and time images, as well as move the notifications at the bottom, making it easier to access and cleaning things up. Notifications got smarter.
Apple also introduced the M2, its second-generation ARM-based chipset. This is the reference model that will power Apple’s entry-level machines, such as the new MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro, which got the processor as an upgrade.
M2 is 18% faster in processing and 35% faster in graphics, all with the same 5 nm process and low power consumption. The M2 has an 8-core CPU and a GPU of up to 10 cores.
The new MacBook Air provides an updated design that finally removes the wedge shape introduced by the original Air in 2008 and replaces it with a new, flatter look. The new Air weighs 1.22 kg, has a 13.6-inch 16:10 screen of 500 nights, an M2 processor and starts with 8 GB of unified memory and 256 GB of storage for $ 1,199 / € 1,499.
The Pixel 6a broke the cover once again, this time through a listing on Facebook Marketplace. The list is complete with pictures of the phone.
