Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, were seen together in public for the first time since the infamous slap at the Oscars, which occurred in March.
The couple enjoyed an afternoon date at Nobu Malibu on Saturday as they were photographed together for the first time since Will, 53, slapped Chris Rock on stage in defense of Jada, 50, at the 94 Academy Awards.
They appeared to be in good spirits and a sporting bearded Will even flashed a fan the peace sign as Jada appeared to be clutching his belt as they walked to their car.

The March awards show debacle was sparked after Rock, 57, made light of Jada’s hair loss (she’s been open about living with alopecia). “Jada, I love you. GI Jane 2, I can’t wait to see you,” she joked.
Will then took the stage and slapped Rock in the face, leaving the audience and live viewers around the world stunned. “Oh wow,” Rock said as Will returned to his seat. “Will Smith just gave me a hand.”

He has since apologized to Rock and resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which banned him from presenting awards for 10 years. You can still be nominated and win one of the coveted awards.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum recently shared another apology to Rock last month, posting a video on his social media accounts in which he extended an olive branch.

“I’ve contacted Chris and the message he got back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he’ll be in touch. So I’m going to say: Chris, I apologize. My behavior was unacceptable. and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk,” he said.
Will also mentioned Jada in the video, insisting that she didn’t tell him “to do something,” adding: “No. It’s like… I made a choice on my own based on my own experiences, from my history with Chris. I already had nothing to do with it.”
“I’m sorry baby. I want to apologize to my kids and my family for the heat I caused everyone,” Will added.
