Windsor police are asking the public for help in identifying a driver who fled after a rollover accident.
Officers responded to Byng Road’s 3200 block for a report of a vehicle that overturned on Friday at 3 p.m.
When police arrived, they located a white Toyota Rav 4 with Ontario license plates CHMT 977 on its roof, on the road. Police say the driver fled the area before police arrived.
A parked vehicle was also damaged as a result of the collision.
Through the investigation, the vehicle is believed to have been traveling north on Byng Road, crashed into the parked vehicle and overturned.
Other passengers may also have been in the vehicle at the time of the incident and also fled the area.
Anyone in the area with surveillance cameras is asked to check their images for possible evidence of the vehicle or suspicious people in the area around the time of the incident.
