A video too barbaric to show has led to the arrest of a woman on suspicion of animal abuse after she allegedly killed and ate her daughter’s hamster.
The horrible clip was posted on Facebook and reportedly depicts the mother killing and then eating the family hamster, using a bottle of water to wash the poor animal. He allegedly did the sick acrobatics in exchange for crack cocaine, reports the Mirror.
Lincolnshire police confirmed that a woman from Grantham, south of Lincolnshire, was arrested on Thursday (June 23) as part of an RSPCA investigation. The mother has since been released, but is still under police investigation.

A spokesman for the force said: “We have arrested a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of cruelty to animals after a distressing video posted on social media depicting an act involving a hamster.
“Ms. Grantham was arrested by our agents yesterday (June 23) following an investigation led by the RSPCA. She has been released under investigation and we will continue to support the RSPCA with her investigation.”
An RSPCA spokesperson encouraged anyone who encounters the horrifying video on social media to report it on the appropriate platform. People were reminded not to share annoying images online.
“This is an extremely disturbing video and we would like to assure the public that we are investigating and working closely with the police,” the animal welfare organization said.
“Please do not call us about this video unless you have first – hand information about the incident that could help an investigation, as it could prevent us from getting emergency calls about animals that need it.
“If you see this video on social media, please report it immediately on the platform. Don’t share or comment on it, as it increases the chances of other people watching it and being distressed.”
