A woman was arrested in a bait car

A Kelowna woman is in custody after allegedly stealing an RCMP decoy car in West Kelowna.
Police say in the early morning hours of July 30, a decoy car was activated in West Kelowna.
The officers located the vehicle that was occupied by a lone female driver.
The 39-year-old woman, a resident of Kelowna and well known to police, was taken into custody without incident.
She was also arrested on three outstanding warrants.
“We’re actively using decoy car and decoy bike technology to curb burglaries in the city of Kelowna. I’m seeing a lot of these crimes being committed by repeat offenders,” says Const. Mike Della-Paolera for the Kelowna RCMP.
