A woman who impersonated herself more than 100 times to pass driving tests on other people has been jailed for eight months.
Inderjeet Kaur, of Llanelli, admitted to having done approximately 150 theoretical and practical driving tests on behalf of candidates between 2018 and 2020.
Swansea Crown Court heard the 29-year-old commit the crimes all over England and Wales, including Swansea, Carmarthen, Birmingham and the surrounding area of London.
Test center staff grew suspicion that Kaur was posing as genuine candidates while taking the test.
Following a referral from the Drivers and Vehicles Standards Agency, a South Wales police investigation found it was offering services to test applicants who were having difficulty with English.
Detective Chief Inspector Steven Maloney, who led the investigation, said: “The crimes committed by Kaur evade the driving test process and, in turn, put innocent road users at risk, in allowing unskilled and dangerous drivers to have seemingly legitimate licenses “.
Caroline Hicks, of the Drivers and Vehicles Standards Agency, added: “Avoiding testing puts lives at risk, we have methods to detect test fraud and we will severely affect the people involved.
“This includes the cancellation of test approvals that have been fraudulently obtained.”
