A CP24 reporter on the beach on Sunday night witnessed several incidents in which people fired fireworks from cars at people and other vehicles.
They said the area was so chaotic that they could not mount a tripod and start a broadcast.
Police said three officers were injured at the scene Sunday night. One of them suffered a minor injury from fireworks and was taken to a local hospital.
A second suffered a scratch and was treated at the scene, and a third was injured in the leg and taken to hospital for treatment.
During Sunday night, emergency crews were shot and stabbed in the Woodbine Beach area.
One victim of the shooting was found at the scene, while a second went to the hospital.
Investigators say they are not sure if any of the incidents are related to each other.
Toronto police told CP24 that they are investigating several incidents that have been reported since Sunday, but that they could not specifically comment on any instance until more information is obtained.
