Xbox has announced that it will include some new features in Xbox Game Pass. The first is a new initiative called Project Moorcroft. This will help developers offer selected demos of upcoming games to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
This will start next year and will focus heavily on independent developers who will be able to generate excitement for their games while receiving feedback and obviously offering players the change to try out their games. Xbox has also confirmed that it will compensate developers who participate in the program.
On top of that, Xbox has also confirmed that this year, it will be deploying the ability for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play selected games that they have (outside of the Xbox Game Pass library) in the cloud.
While the details are still clear, I think Xbox means that games that aren’t in the Xbox Game Pass (e.g., Call of Duty as an example) can be played in the cloud even though they’re not enabled. Xbox Game Pass.
