If you are trying and unable to access Yahoo! Run this morning, you’re definitely not alone. The very popular messaging service seems to have some major issues with hundreds of reports that its users cannot read, reply to, send, or open new emails. However, it seems like one of the biggest problems is that users see their inbox full, but then get an error that says “We couldn’t load this message,” when they try to check an individual email. The gremlins first appeared around 9:30 a.m. with frustrating problems still ongoing.
In fact, Down Detector, which monitors outages worldwide, is actually showing a steady increase in reports with about 1,500 per minute shown on its chart. Talking on your forum page a Yahoo! The user named Elaine said, “I can see my emails, but I can’t open or delete them; I haven’t tried to send any yet.” While another named Julian added, “You can’t access Yahoo emails this morning.”
Along with reports from Down Detector, Yahoo! Users have also flocked to social media to take out their frustrations. Speaking on Twitter, an angry user named Sayan said, “@yahoomail is dropped? Trying to send emails for 2 hours … no email appears in the mailbox … all items in the inbox will open with the warning “please try again later. this.”
Another, named Ritesh, tweeted, “Is there a problem or the #Yahoomail server since this morning can’t access anything in Yahoo mail.”
There’s no word on what’s causing the problems, but Yahoo! has now confirmed that it has detected the error and is working on a solution.
In a statement, Yahoo! “Some users may have issues with Yahoo Mail. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.”
