Prince Charles arrives when the service begins

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have now arrived in St Paul’s. He officially represents the Queen in the service after she had to retire last night.

The 96-year-old monarch is missing after a last-minute decision announced by Buckingham Palace at 7.30pm yesterday after she experienced “discomfort” during the events of Trooping The Color in the early hours of the day.

Prince William and Kate were just ahead of Charles and Camilla. He was seen chatting with the Archbishop of York who will deliver the sermon during the service, as the Archbishop of Canterbury had to retire due to the hiring of Covid-19.

Both couples were greeted with loud shouts and gestured to the audience as they climbed the steps of the cathedral.

Then a second soldier also collapsed, but he was also able to get up and was helped to walk, although a stretcher was removed.

Members of the royal family have begun to arrive in Sant Pau, hailed by the ringing of the cathedral bells.

Queen Zara’s granddaughter Tindall and her husband Mike were received by the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York.

A great joy arose when Prince Harry and Meghan arrived. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seats in the second row of the congregation, with Princess Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands, and Lady Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret’s daughter, and her family.

Crowds gather before the office of St. Paul

Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in central London, where the Prince of Wales is replacing the Queen in St Paul’s service.

Buckingham Palace said the 96-year-old monarch lost his service “very reluctantly” after experiencing episodic mobility problems all day Thursday at the start of his jubilee celebrations.

Crowds have gathered outside the cathedral waiting to see the royal family, though Prime Minister Boris Johnson scoffed at his arrival.

The Archbishop of York has said that giving the sermon in the service of Thanksgiving is a “somewhat frightening spectacle.”

The Rev. Stephen Cottrell had to speak at eleven o’clock after the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Rev. Justin Welby, contracted Covid.

In statements before the service at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Cottrell said he was trying to treat it as “one more sermon.”

“Obviously this is my job, to talk about the Christian faith, to preach sermons,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today program.

“Although this is a bit of a terrifying spectacle, I have been offered it in advance, from my knowledge of the Queen and when I have been with her before, in fact, when I preached in church when she is there, the only thing I “I am very sure is that he wants to hear about the Christian faith which is what has motivated and sustained him throughout his life, throughout his reign.”
