The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have introduced their daughter Lilibet to Queen Elizabeth for the first time.
Harry and Meghan were invited to a private luncheon with senior members of the royal family after Trooping the Color. It was there that the queen met her namesake.
And although Lilibet will be celebrating her first birthday tomorrow, don’t expect a photo of the queen posing with her great-granddaughter to be posted.

According to royal commentator Omid Scobie, “these moments with Lilibet are very private between them and the queen.”
In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Scobie said that Harry and Meghan “want to be as discreet as possible”.
“Before they arrived, there was so much talk in the press about the couple that it could overshadow the queen herself, which I think is almost impossible for anyone,” he said.

“I spoke to people close to the couple who said they couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, they want to be as discreet as possible during this trip.”
“Yesterday at Trooping the Color was a great example. We didn’t really see them on TV cameras. There are a few grainy photos of them online, but that’s as far away as possible.”

The Queen marked the start of her platinum jubilee celebrations yesterday when she stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Color.

Among those on the balcony with Her Majesty were the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven. , and Prince Louis, four.

Princess Anne was there with her husband Sir Timothy Laurence and the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children Lady Louise and Viscount Severn. Harry and Meghan, who had returned to the United Kingdom from the United States for the celebrations, were seen watching the Horse Guard parade in the early hours of the day from the commanding general’s office.
They were joined by the queen’s other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
