A teenager has been arrested after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed after a fight on a bus.
The 14-year-old was stabbed in the armpit after being involved in an argument with a gang on bus number 80 on Wednesday 25 May. The victim and the gang got off the bus on Hanover Street and went separately, but then the victim was approached by the gang and stabbed.
Officers were then called to Argyle Street near Campbell Square around 7:10 p.m., where the 14-year-old was attacked. Two 15-year-olds and one 17-year-old from Anfield, Litherland and Crosby were previously arrested. They have since been released on parole.

Now another teenager, from the Knowsley area, was arrested after Wednesday’s incident. The 16-year-old is currently in custody where he will be questioned by detectives.
A Merseyside police spokesman said: “A 16-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of s47 assault following an incident in central Liverpool. The teenager, who is from the Knowsley area, was later arrested of an incident in Campbell Square on the evening of Wednesday, May 25, in which a 14-year-old boy was stabbed.
“The 16-year-old is currently being held where he will be questioned by detectives. Three men arrested on Wednesday night have been released on parole.”
