A 31-year-old woman died at The Maples: Winnipeg Police

Police are investigating an alleged homicide after a woman was injured in the upper body on Saturday night in The Maples area of ​​Winnipeg and then died at the hospital.

At around 10pm, police responded to a report of an assault on Marlow Court, just north of Inster Boulevard, between Sheppard and Fife streets, police said in a press release on Sunday.

Officers found an unconscious woman suffering injuries to her upper body and administered first aid before the ambulance arrived.

The 31-year-old Winnipeg woman was taken to hospital in critical condition where she died of her injuries.

Members of the homicide unit are investigating the woman’s death.
