A 75-year-old woman died after a collision on Highway 103

The RCMP is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that happened on Highway 103 in Glenwood, NS, on Tuesday afternoon.

A car and a semi-trailer traveling in opposite directions collided at around 3.25pm, according to an RCMP press release.

The driver of the car, a 75-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-trailer, a 46-year-old man, was not injured.

The RCMP, firefighters and paramedics responded to the collision. The highway was cut off for several hours, but has since opened.

A reconstructor of the collision went to the scene and the investigation continues.
