A large fire closes the Scottish road while emergency services rush to the scene

Firefighters are facing a large fire on a rural road in Fife.

In scenes widely shared on social media, the fire is believed to have taken over a building next to B961, known as Dales Road by Fifers, between Inverkeithing and Crossgates, near Cowdenbeath.

Locals reported hearing explosions more than a mile from the site as hell broke out.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has sent half a dozen firefighting devices, which are believed to have started in a garage.
