A stabbing in the early hours of Sunday morning has left one man dead, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Police were called to a house on Bruce Street in eastern Vancouver around 3 a.m. to report an assault, according to the spokesman, the sergeant. Steve Addison.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered a very injured 23-year-old man outside the house. The man later died from his injuries,” Addison said in a statement.
Photos of the scene show a strong police presence. The yellow ribbon of the crime scene is in front of the house, as well as in the alley behind.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody.
“The victim and the suspect knew each other,” Addison said.
