A teenager and a young woman have died in an accident in the NSW region.
Emergency services were called to the Oxley Highway on Ruby Hills Road in Walcha, east of Tamworth, following reports that a Suzuki hatchback and a rigid truck had collided shortly after noon on Wednesday.
The driver of the hatchback – a 22-year-old woman – and a 16-year-old girl in the back seat were killed at the scene.

The front passenger, a 23-year-old man, was taken to John Hunter Hospital in critical condition.
An eight-month-old girl, who was also in the back seat of the car, was rushed to John Hunter Hospital for an assessment.

The driver of the truck was not injured and was taken to Walcha Hospital for mandatory tests.
The crime scene has been established and the accident is being investigated.
