Morrison was talking to the Victory Life Center when he urged congregants to put their faith in God instead of government.
“We trust Him,” Morrison told the church.

“We don’t trust governments. We don’t trust the United Nations, thank God.”
He added that there was value in the role of government.
“We don’t trust all of these things, no matter how important they are and how important the role they play,” Morrison said.
“Believe me, I’ve worked on them and they’re important.”
Albanese has expressed surprise at the address in an interview this morning.

“I thought, wow, this guy was the prime minister,” he told the ABC.
“Perhaps it provides some explanation for why he clearly did not lead a government that was worthy of the Australian people.”
Albanese was especially irritated because his predecessor struck a blow at the United Nations.
“I have spent two months trying to repair our international relations,” Albanese said.
“And this kind of throwing, nonsensical conspiracy about the United Nations is not worthy of anyone who ran Australia.”
Morrison remains Cook’s member of Parliament, but has not sought a leading position in the opposition.
The Victory Life Center is a Pentecostal church founded in 1995 by former tennis player Margaret Court.
Morrison spoke for 50 minutes during Sunday service.
