Amber Heard has responded to Johnny Depp’s first TikTok, in which he was presumed to be advancing after his defamation trial.
“As Johnny Depp says ‘moving forward’, women’s rights are receding,” a Heard spokesman said in a statement (via People).
“The message of the verdict on victims of domestic violence is … be afraid to get up and talk.”
Heard, 36, also addressed the future of women’s rights in her statement immediately after her loss to Depp, 58, in court last week.
“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. My heart is broken because the mountain of evidence is still not enough to deal with the disproportionate power, influence and influence of my ex-husband,” Heard said in that moment.

“I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means to other women,” she continued, calling the jury’s decision “reversal.”
“It sets the clock at a time when a woman who was talking and talking could be embarrassed and publicly humiliated. It revokes the idea that violence against women should be taken seriously.”

He added: “I think Johnny’s lawyers managed to get the jury to ignore the key issue of free speech and ignore the conclusive evidence we won in the UK.
“I’m sorry I lost this case. But I’m even sadder because I seem to have lost a right that I thought I had as an American: to speak freely and openly.”

In his debut post on TikTok, Depp thanked fans for their support and highlighted his desire to leave the trial behind.
“We’ve been everywhere together, we’ve seen it all together. We went the same way together. We did the right thing together, because you cared, “he wrote.
“It simply came to our notice then. You are, as always, my business people, and once again, I have no way of thanking you, but just thanking you. So thank you. My love and respect, JD. “
