Another COVID outbreak at Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Health PEI has reported an outbreak of COVID-19 in Unit 3, the medical unit, of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.

The unit is closed for new admissions. Some admissions may be allowed, such as COVID-19 positive patients or those who have recently recovered.

General tours are also closed. Patients may have three designated care partners, but only one may be with the patient at a time.

An outbreak in QEH Unit 2 earlier this month was declared over on 22 May. There is an outbreak at Alberton Western Hospital.
