Update [Thu 23rd Jun, 2022 00:55 BST]: While Aspyr is planning a patch fix to fix this game-breaking bug affecting a small number of KOTOR II players on Switch, a temporary fix has now been shared.
Here’s an official statement along with the steps you need to take if you’re stuck:
“We’re aware of an issue that is preventing some STAR WARS ™: Knights of the Old Republic ™ II: The Sith Lords players from advancing in the game. Our data suggests that this only affects a small number of users, but rest I’m sure we’re working on a patch to fix it. “
Q: The game still fails after the Basilisk scene, what can I do to fix it?
A: If you encounter this blockage, our workaround is to go beyond the point where the crash occurs using the trap menu. Triple-click the left stick, open the cheat menu, select warp and warp in OND504.
Original story [Tue 21st Jun, 2022 02:45 BST]: The latest release of Aspyr’s Nintendo Switch, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, seems to have a bug that prevents players from completing the game.
In a social media exchange, a player reveals how he experienced a game crash after the Basilisk Crash cut scene when he landed on Onderon, and that there is no way to complete the game in its current state.
Aspyr responded by pointing out that he was “aware” that there is currently no way to complete the game:
“Yes, we are aware and our development team is working to deliver the patch as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience in the meantime!”

This issue will be addressed in the next patch, but there is currently no “ETA” on when exactly it will be released to Nintendo Switch gamers.
