The second half of the Nintendo Switch 2022 launch line continues to focus. On Wednesday, the company announced in a new trailer that Bayonetta 3 will hit the hybrid laptop on Oct. 28, letting the Platinum Games-armed witch triumphantly return in time for Halloween. And that’s not all. A new “Naive Angel” modesty mode will also allow players to hide the characters’ naked bodies.
The latest trailer reveals that the Umbra witch with stiletto heels will be joined by a “true coven” of other Bayonettas as they fight to prevent a giant Homunculi from destroying the world. Players will also be able to take control of Viola, a mysterious training witch who doesn’t emit any Devil May Cry vibrations, and will trigger a series of sword combos on the agents of chaos.
Here’s the whole thing:
What the trailer doesn’t include is no mention of Bayonetta 3’s new Naive Angle mode. Platinum Games tweeted about this separately in a short video showing how turning it off and on will add or remove layers that cover the bare skin of Bayonetta and other characters. According to the study, it’s the quintessential “family room” mode for when you don’t know who’s going to pass and you don’t want to answer any additional questions about why there are so many D-Cup demons wreaking havoc on the streets of Tokyo.
Relax, the witch is back and sexier than ever 🌙
We’ve added the revolutionary “Naive Angel Mode” to Bayonetta 3 so more people can fully enjoy it👍
By turning it on, you can play directly in the living room without having to worry about what’s on the screen … think😅 # Bayonetta3 pic.twitter.com/SEs3vqrdYc

Although the first Bayonetta was originally released in 2010 as a PS3 and Xbox 360 game, it was later ported to Wii U and the series officially became a Nintendo exclusive with the release of Bayonetta 2 in 2014. Both games were also brought to Switch. , and an official Bayonetta 3 joke debuted at the 2017 Game Awards.
Then nothing. The years passed and, despite the Platinum Games team’s continued assurances that development was going well, it wasn’t until 2021 that a full game trailer came out. 1386 days have passed without any news and so fans of the style witch got rid of speculation about the latest twists and turns on Bayonetta’s journey.
In addition to launching a collector’s edition of Bayonetta 3’s Trinity Masquerade, which I’m sure won’t be immediately scared on eBay, Nintendo also offers the original Bayonetta a new standalone physical version limited to Switch. Previously, the game was only available as a download code and package with the Bayonetta 2 port.
