Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander crashes at the pop star’s wedding venue

Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been arrested for crashing at her wedding site just hours before the ceremony, according to authorities.

Captain Cameron Henderson of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said police responded to an intrusion call after 2 p.m. Thursday.

She said Speers’ first husband, Jason Alexander, was arrested on the spot.

He said Mr Alexander was arrested after officers noticed he had an arrest warrant in another county.

Earlier on Thursday, Mr. Alexander streamed a live video from his Instagram account as he approached the security of the event.

After accessing the premises, he managed to reach the second floor of the house.

“Where’s Britney?” Mr. Alexander is heard asking a security guard to inform him that he must leave.

“Where’s Britney, brother? I’m Jason Alexander, first husband.”

Mr. Alexander then enters the wedding tent, where several empty rows of wooden benches are seen inside.

“She’s my first wife, my only wife,” said Alexander, who briefly married his childhood friend Spears in 2004.

Their marriage lasted only 55 hours.

“I’m her first husband,” she continues in the video. “I’m here to crash the wedding.”

Variety reported that officers were still investigating the alleged intrusion and will determine whether charges will be filed against Mr. Alexander.

Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari met on the set of a music video in 2016. They announced their engagement in September last year, shortly before Spears won a legal battle with her family and was released from a 13-year guardianship in November.

A Spears representative did not immediately return a request for comment.
