Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been arrested at the singer’s home in Los Angeles as she was preparing to marry her partner Sam Asghari.
Police responded to an incident at the address and later arrested 40-year-old Jason Alexander.
A department spokesman confirmed that Alexander had been arrested by an out-of-county order and had been transported from the scene to a police station following the incident.
It is understood that the intimate wedding ceremony between the 40-year-old singer and her 28-year-old fitness trainer partner was scheduled for Thursday.
Shortly before the incident, her former partner, Alexander, posted a live Instagram story from close to the property, in which she said she was there to “crash” the wedding.
Spears and Asghari got engaged in September last year, and the singer joked that the proposal was “very outdated.”
A 13-year guardianship that had controlled his life was ended by the Los Angeles High Court in November last year.

Spears married Alexander, his childhood friend, in 2004. But they only married for a total of 55 hours before obtaining an annulment.
Thursday’s wedding was to be the singer’s third trip to the altar, after she divorced Kevin Federline in 2007.
Spears has two children, Sean and Jayden, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
